Wallingford RFC are pleased to announce a new partnership with local hotel, restaurant and bar, The Royal.
The new partnership will see The Royal taking pride of place of the new 1st XV playing shirts due to arrive in early October, as well the newly refurbished venue hosting several events for the club over course of the season.
Owner of The Royal and former Wallingford RFC player and coach, Henry Day, is excited by the partnership: “As a local resident and business owner its important we support each other. Wallingford RFC is great asset for our town and community and therefore it was an easy decision to get involved. We hope the partnership will enable us to offer additional value to the members and look forward to welcoming them to The Royal”
Re-opened under new ownership in May 2023, The Royal provides a vibrant and comfortable venue for excellent food and drink, along with premium accommodation following a complete refurbishment.
Rugby Club Chairman, Dick Payne, is equally excited by the partnership: “Its great to have linked up with The Royal this season, I’m really looking forward to not only the events that The Royal are planning on putting on for the club membership, but also how we can help support and promote The Royal in its first year since re-opening”
